Build out your presentation by adding blank slides, duplicating existing ones, or removing slides you no longer need. You can work from the slide editor or grid view, and copy slides between presentations.
Click any of the following links to skip ahead:
Add a slide
Click Add slide in the top toolbar to insert a new blank slide after the currently selected slide. In grid view, the Add slide button inserts a slide at the end of the presentation.
You can also right-click a slide thumbnail in the slide preview pane and select Add slide to insert one at that position.
Duplicate a slide
Right-click a slide thumbnail in the slide preview pane and select Copy slide, then right-click where you want the duplicate and select Paste. The copied slide includes all content, formatting, and the applied slide theme layout.
Copy and paste slides across presentations
You can copy a slide from one presentation and paste it into another. Copy a slide using the right-click menu or ⌘C, open the destination presentation, and paste with ⌘V or the right-click menu. This is a fast way to reuse content across decks.
Reorder slides
In the slide editor, drag slides up or down in the slide preview pane on the left side of the screen.
In grid view, drag and drop thumbnails to any position. Grid view gives you a view of the full deck, making it easier to reorganize larger presentations.
Choose a slide layout
If your presentation uses a presentation theme, each slide can use a different layout from that theme. Right-click a slide thumbnail and select Slide layout to choose from the available layouts — such as Title, Body, or any Custom layouts defined in the theme.
To add a slide that the theme does not affect, choose No layout.
Remove a slide
Right-click a slide thumbnail and select Delete slide to remove it. This action cannot be undone. If you need to recover a deleted slide, check the History tab in the right panel.
