Draft text with Elle

Aha! Suite

Good writing helps you communicate clearly — whether you are documenting a process, drafting a message, or writing a product update. Elle, the AI assistant in Aha! software, helps you create clear, polished content in the right tone, so you can convey the right message without spending extra time.

Elle is built into the Aha! text editor. Use it to draft new content in any note, record description, or comment across your Aha! account, or to improve text you have already written. Your account data is not used to train the AI model.

Enable Elle

Elle is enabled in your Aha! account by default. If you are an account administrator, you can disable AI drafting for all users in your account settings. Disabling AI drafts in the text editor removes the Elle icon from the text editor toolbar.

  • Navigate to User menu -> Settings -> Account -> Security and single sign-on -> AI control.

  • Use the checkbox next to Enable AI drafts in text editor to turn AI drafting on or off.

  • Click Update AI security to save your changes.

Best practices

It can take several tries to get the results you want. Follow these practices for more predictable, useful output.

Be goal-first

The clearer you are about what you want to write, the better you can direct Elle. Your goal shapes the tone and style, so include it in your prompt.

Identify your audience

Name your intended audience in your prompt. This helps Elle choose language and terms that resonate. You can also name who is speaking, which helps Elle match the right voice.

Be specific

Tell Elle exactly what you are writing and what to include. Vague prompts produce vague results; specific details produce relevant, accurate content.

Experiment and iterate

Test different prompts and compare the results to learn what works. When you find prompts that consistently produce the results you want, save them as custom prompts so your team can reuse them.
