An active ideas portal is a wonderful thing. You can directly engage with your community and discover ideas that lead to future innovation. Now that you have branded your ideas portal and populated it with data, you are ready to bring folks in to join you. Invite teammates to collaborate in your Aha! Ideas account and share your portal URL with customers to give you feedback.

Invite users to your account
You can invite users to your Aha! Ideas account singly or in bulk.
To invite users one at a time, select the + icon in the top-right corner of any page in your account. Then you can decide the type of user permissions you want them to have.
To import multiple users, use the CSV import. When importing users, you can choose to email them invitations to join your Aha! Ideas account.
If the total users being imported exceeds the account's available paid seats, every user will still be imported so that Aha! Ideas administrators can activate/deactivate the users as needed.
Collaborate with your team
You can easily loop team members into the conversation and your workflow using the following tips and tricks.
@Mentions: Use @mentions to automatically add a user as a watcher or a comment subscriber on an Aha! Ideas record so your teams stay informed.
#Mentions: Use #mentions to reference any Aha! Ideas record. Users can click on your link to go directly to that record.
Watchers: Users can watch a record to keep up to date on status changes and work progress.
To-dos: Assign to-dos to your team to help refine a feature or review your work.
Share internal best practices
When your team members first join your Aha! Ideas account, they will see our Quick start guide. This will help welcome them to Aha! Ideas and invite them to collaborate with the rest of their team.
Your company might want to create its own internal standards and best practices for Aha! Ideas users in your account. If so, you can add a link to that documentation in Settings ⚙️→ Account → Profile. You can even include your company logo here if you have added it in the Primary logo section above.
Invite users to your ideas portal
If you have a public portal, anyone with the portal URL can access it and submit an idea. For example, Aha! company ideas portal is a public portal.
If you have a private portal, then only users who you invite will be able to submit ideas. You can invite users to your ideas portal singly or in bulk. Any user who submits an idea to your portal is automatically captured as a portal user.
To invite ideas portal users one at a time:
From your portal settings' Users tab, click the Add portal user button and then enter the user's name and email address.
(Optional) Select the Employee checkbox to identify a user as an employee to provide more flexibility for idea visibility.
Click Create to invite the user.
To import multiple users, use the CSV import.
When importing users, you can choose to email them invitations to join your ideas portal.
Each CSV import applies to a single ideas portal. If you have multiple portals in Aha! Ideas, create a separate import file for each.
Once you invite users to your portal, a user will be created based on their email address. They will need to use the invite email you have sent them to log in and create a password.
