Improve written text to eliminate errors and experiment with writing style. Use AI to proofread, shorten, or summarize text, improve readability, and rewrite in a different tone.
Use your mouse to highlight the content you want to edit. Then click the sparkle icon in your text editor toolbar. From here, you have several options:
Enter a prompt: Add a prompt to the AI assistant describing how you want AI to change the text. You can use the + to add saved instructions if you choose.
Use a shortcut: Select a shortcut option below the AI assistant's prompt field. When you select one of these options, you will still need to enter a prompt to give the AI assistant some direction about length or level of detail. You can choose from Outline, Draft, Refine, Summarize, or Expand.
After you have entered your prompt press Enter. You will see the AI modal draft your new content. After it is complete, you can click Replace to remove the original text and replace it with the AI-generated text or Ignore to discard the generated text and prompt the AI to perform the action again.
When you replace your written text with the AI-generated text, your original text will be deleted from your document — but you will be able to access it on the document's history if you need to reference or retrieve it.
