Import from Azure DevOps

Aha! Teamwork

Support ticket escalations, development stories, product features — your team can pull work from almost any common third party tool into Aha! Teamwork. And whether you track work through sprints, Kanban, or a casual workflow board, your team's capacity can be made up of Aha! records from multiple different sources.

Use this importer to pull in one record at a time from a third party tool into Aha! Teamwork. Do you want to move an entire backlog in at once? Try the CSV import.

In this article, we will walk through how to pull individual work items from Azure DevOps as Aha! Teamwork records.

This importer works best for situations where you need to pull records regularly — rather than migrating fully out of a tool and into Aha! Teamwork.

Pull work into Aha! Teamwork

You will see the importer in three areas of your Aha! Teamwork team:

On each page, the user experience is the same. Expand the collapsible sidebar on the left of the page (if it is not expanded already). This sidebar includes everywhere your team could pull records from, including strategic work from Aha! Roadmaps, records that originated in other tools, and team work that your team has created for itself.

  • Click the source dropdown and select your new importer.

  • If this is your first time using the importer, Authenticate it by logging in to the third party tool.

  • Use the sidebar's interface to navigate to and select the record(s) you need to pull into Aha! Teamwork.

  • Filter the list of available record(s), then pull them into your backlog, sprint, or workflow board.

When you move a record into Aha! Teamwork, you create an Aha! record with a copy of the original record's data. There is no link back to the original record, as there would be in an integration.

Your team can now move the record(s) through your workflow!
