The way your presentation looks should never get in the way of what it says. Presentation themes keep every deck on-brand by standardizing backgrounds, headers, footers, and text styles, so every presentation that uses a theme displays those elements automatically.
Themes live in workspace settings, which means they are managed once and reused across every presentation in a workspace (or across an entire workspace line). Workspace owners create and edit themes, and anyone who can create a presentation can apply a presentation theme to it.

Overview
Themes live in your workspace settings. To see available themes, navigate to User menu -> Settings -> Workspace -> Presentation themes. From there, you can see every theme available in the current workspace, including themes inherited from a parent workspace line.
A theme is available to a presentation based on where it was created:
A theme created in a workspace is available to presentations in that workspace.
A theme created at a workspace line is inherited by every child workspace, so you can brand an entire portfolio once. Inherited themes show their source in the Inherited from column.
A theme included in a workspace template is available to any workspace created from that template.
When you apply a theme in the presentation slide editor, you will see every theme from every workspace you have access to — not just the current workspace — so branding stays consistent wherever you present.
Create a theme
To create a new theme, navigate to User menu -> Settings -> Workspace -> Presentation themes and click Add presentation theme. Give your theme a Name, then open the theme editor to adjust its layouts.
Edit theme layouts
Every theme includes multiple slide layouts — at minimum a Title layout and a Body layout — and you can add more layouts to cover the slide types your team presents most.
From workspace settings, you can edit a theme layout the same way you edit a presentation slide. Anything you add to a layout — a logo, a footer, a brand color, a header style — will appear on every slide in every presentation that uses that theme. Change the layout once, update every presentation.
Text style boxes are the exception. These determine the style of titles, subtitles, and body text (font, size, color, alignment, etc.), but the people who use the theme add their own content to them. Use the Text box toolbar to set the style you want.
Changes save automatically. When you return to a presentation that uses the theme, your updates are already applied.
Share themes across workspaces
To make a theme available across multiple workspaces, create it at the workspace line level instead of an individual workspace. Any workspace under that line will inherit the theme. Enterprise+ plan customers can share a theme across unrelated workspaces by adding it to a workspace template.
You cannot delete a theme that is currently applied to a presentation. Remove the theme from any in-use presentation first.
Apply a theme to a presentation
Anyone who can create a presentation can apply an available theme. Open the Themes tab in the right panel of the slide editor and select the theme you want. Then right-click any individual slide thumbnail in the editor and select Slide layout to choose which layout applies to that slide.
