Analyze an interview or study
Use the AI assistant to analyze an interview or study from anywhere in your Aha! account.
To analyze an interview, you must have a transcript uploaded. The AI assistant does not access or analyze uploaded video.

Click the sparkle icon in the upper right of your screen to open the AI assistant.
If you open the AI assistant from an open interview or study, note that its record ID will populate in the assistant's prompt field. This is important — it tells the AI assistant which records to analyze.

Enter your prompt. Include the specific record IDs of the study or interview you want to analyze.

You can use one of the shortcut options (Summarize, Uncover, Coalesce, Join, or Validate) and enter a prompt to give the AI assistant additional guidance to refine the output.
For example, if you use the Coalesce shortcut, enter a prompt telling the AI assistant which concepts you want it to group to understand trends.

Press Enter to prompt the AI assistant to get started.
The AI assistant might ask you for more guidance. This enables it to better cater its analysis to the specific insights or actions you want it to provide. Just answer the AI assistant's questions to provide more context for the output you are looking for.
You will see an Analysis complete message in the AI assistant side panel when the analysis is ready. From here, you can ask the AI assistant to perform follow-up tasks or save the analysis to an interview or study insights report.
Save the AI analysis
After the AI assistant has provided an analysis, you may want to save it to reference it later. You have several options for saving an AI analysis.
Insert the AI analysis in an insights report
The option to insert the analysis into an insights report will only appear if you are viewing an interview transcript or an insights report. Once you add the AI analysis to an insights report, anyone with access will be able to view it.
In the AI assistant side panel, find the Analysis complete for [Record ID] box outlined in blue and click Show.

The analysis will open in a separate window. Click Insert and select an option to save the analysis to the insights report:
Add to Summary: This option will add the analysis to the Summary field of the interview or study's insights report.
Add to Details: This option will add the analysis to the Details section of the interview or study's insights report (below the Learnings and Quotes section).
Add as new insight: This option will add the analysis to the bottom of the interview or study's insights report.
Copy the AI analysis
You can copy an AI analysis and paste it into any record or note in your account:
In the AI assistant side panel, find the Analysis complete for [Record ID] box outlined in blue and click Show.
Click the copy icon in the upper right. This will copy the analysis. Then right-click or press Ctrl+V to paste the analysis into a document or Aha! record.
Click the link icon to navigate to the saved analysis. From here, you can select and copy it.
