Use prototypes to explore product ideas, share early concepts, and get your team aligned before work begins. Create them with Elle, the AI assistant in Aha! software, and save them as records in your workspace. You can link each prototype to the work it supports, such as a feature, initiative, or idea. Teammates can add feedback in comments, and you can review every iteration in the version history.
A prototype record displays the interactive prototype at the top of the page, where anyone with access can click through and experience the design. Below the prototype, tabs organize the record's details — including comments, to-dos, related records, and version history.
Click any of the following links to learn more about prototypes:
Create a prototype: Start a new prototype from a chat with Elle, the Prototypes page, the Documents page, or a record's Research tab.
Edit prototypes and track versions: Iterate on a prototype by chatting with Elle. Every change creates a new version you can browse, preview, or continue from.
Link prototypes to records: Connect prototypes to goals, initiatives, features, ideas, and any other record type. Linked prototypes appear on the record's Research tab.
Embed prototypes: Prototypes can be standalone records, or they can be embedded in record descriptions, workspace notes, whiteboards, and more. If embedded, they do not have a unique record ID, but live within the record where they were created.
Manage prototypes: Lock, duplicate, move, or delete prototype records.
The Prototypes page is available in navigation by default. The path varies by product:
