Custom email domains are included in Aha! Discovery Advanced.
If your account already uses a custom domain for another Aha! product, Aha! Discovery uses that same domain. Custom email domains are shared across Aha! Discovery, ideas portals in Aha! Ideas, and Aha! Builder. You cannot set up a separate email domain.
Configure your custom email domain
You will need help from the person on your team who manages DNS records for your company’s domain to set up a custom email domain for Aha! Discovery.
Go to the User menu -> Settings -> Account -> Discovery -> Configure -> Custom email domain.
Select Add custom domain.
Enter the sender address you want customers to see.
Copy the DNS records that Aha! provides in your settings.
Aha! Discovery will continue sending email from the Aha! domain until setup is complete.
Configure DNS settings
Send the DNS records to the person on your team who manages your DNS settings. Ask them to add each record exactly as shown.
These records are used for DKIM authentication. DKIM lets receiving mail servers verify that messages sent from your domain are authorized and have not been changed in transit.
Verify your custom email domain
After your DNS records are published:
Return to the User menu -> Settings -> Account -> Discovery -> Configure -> Custom email domain.
In the Custom email domain section, select Verify domain next to the domain you want to use.
If the records are correct, Aha! Discovery will verify the domain and start sending emails from your custom sender address.
If verification is incomplete or the DNS records are missing or invalid, Aha! Discovery will continue sending emails from the default Aha! domain until the issue is resolved.
Set the sender name for a study
After you verify your domain, set the sender name for each study. The custom domain controls the email address domain. The macro settings control the name recipients see.
Open the study that contains the macro you want to use.
Go to Macro -> Layout -> Sender.
Enter the sender name you want recipients to see.
