Gather feedback on specific parts of a prototype before development begins. Add inline comments to discuss a button, screen, or interaction — so your team can agree on what needs to change.
Each comment includes a screenshot of the area you commented on with the location highlighted. This preserves the context of your feedback even as the prototype changes.

Add an inline comment
If you have permission to add comments to other records, you can also add comments to prototypes.
Open the prototype and navigate to the screen or interaction you want to discuss.
Click the Comments icon in the toolbar to open the comments side panel.
Click Add comment.
Click the area of the prototype you want to comment on, then enter your feedback.
Make your feedback specific so teammates understand what you want to discuss. For example: "The confirmation message disappears before I can read it. Could it stay visible until I dismiss it?"
Review and resolve comments
You receive a notification when someone mentions you in a prototype comment, replies to your comment, or adds a comment to a prototype you watch. Open the Comments side panel in the prototype to review feedback and reply to comments. The same comments appear wherever the prototype is viewed, so your team can follow the discussion across shared and embedded views. Use the screenshot attached to each comment to understand what the commenter saw when they added it.
As you update the prototype, the screenshot preserves the original context. Deleting an element that someone commented on does not automatically resolve its comment. Resolve the comment yourself when the discussion is complete or the feedback no longer applies.
