Your knowledge base exists to help customers and colleagues find answers quickly. But if you have a broad audience, knowledge base visitors might speak different languages. You can accommodate your readers' language preferences by allowing them to select the language they want. This translates your knowledge base, helping more customers find the information they need in the languages they use.

How it works
Workspace owners can enable translation for a knowledge base and configure which languages are available for visitors to choose from.
When translation is enabled, knowledge base visitors can select a language from the choices available on any page in your knowledge base. When a visitor selects a language other than the original language, your knowledge base will translate its navigation and articles automatically as the visitor navigates from page to page.
Their browser will save the language they choose, so their preferred language will already be selected the next time they visit your knowledge base.
Because translation happens automatically when a visitor accesses a page in your knowledge base, translated copy may vary.
Enable translation
Navigate to General -> Overview in your knowledge base's settings.
In the Translation section, check the box next to Enable document translation.
Select the Original language for your knowledge base. This should be the language you currently use in your knowledge base.
In the Other languages menu, select all the languages you want available in your knowledge base.
Visitor experience
Your knowledge base will display a dropdown menu in the bottom-left corner. The original language will be pre-selected, and all text in your knowledge base will display as it was originally written and published.
When a visitor selects a language other than the original, the knowledge base page they are on will instantly translate into the selected language. Users navigating from page to page will continue to see translations in the selected language.
