Integrate Aha! with your calendar application

Product and marketing managers have a lot to monitor. Aside from the constant stream of delivery dates, deadlines, meetings, and events that fill your calendar, planning your week with an eye on your key deliverables can be a challenge. With this integration, you can sync to-dos and key dates from Aha! to your personal calendar so you can see when work is happening and plan your day.

Aha! provides a one-way integration from Aha! to any calendar application that can subscribe to an iCal (.ics) calendar, including Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. This allows you to sync your personal to-dos and/or saved calendar reports from Aha! with your favorite calendar application.

Integration details

  • This integration is one-way, from Aha! to your calendar application. Any updates made in your calendar application will not be made to Aha! records.
  • There are two places in Aha! where you can sync records with your calendar app — the to-dos section of the My work page and saved calendar reports.
  • Records are presented in your calendar application as all-day events that contain the title of the record in the name field, a link to the record in the location field, and a message that says, “This event was created by Aha!” in the description field.
  • This support article mentions calendar integrations with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook; however, any other calendar system that supports importing a calendar from an iCal (.ics) link will work.
  • Each calendar system retrieves updates at a different time interval, some (like Apple Calendar) are configurable.

Security notices

  • This integration can be controlled at an account level. The setting for this integration is located at Settings > Account > Security and single sign-on > Sync to calendar control. If you disable this setting, all active calendar links will permanently stop functioning. Note: The setting is disabled by default for all accounts created prior to June 11, 2019. For accounts added after June 11, 2019, the setting is enabled by default.
  • Calendar URL links are tied to Aha! user accounts. If you disable or delete a user, their calendar links from Aha! will stop working. If you re-enable a disabled user, the user will need to follow the steps below to generate a new URL and add it to their calendar.
  • Aha! users can review and revoke access to their own calendar links at Settings > Personal > External calendars. To revoke access to one of your own calendar links, hover over the calendar and click the Revoke button that appears on the row.
  • Aha! account administrators can review and revoke calendar links created by any user in the account at Settings > Account > External calendars. To revoke access to a calendar link, hover over the calendar and click the Revoke button that appears on the row.

Integrate a saved Aha! calendar report with your calendar application

To set up an integration with an Aha! calendar report:
