Visual roadmaps are one of the most powerful ways to communicate where your product is headed to your team, stakeholders and customers.
They can be used to proudly showcase the upcoming features you plan on delivering, set expectations around project timelines or ensure management are appraised of your high level initiatives.
Keeping these various roadmaps up-to-date and pertinent can be a labor of love. Features get reprioritized, dates can slip and every team wants to see only the information that is relevant to them.
Fortunately, you can visualize everything in Aha! without having to enter the same roadmap data twice. And when your structured data changes, your roadmaps can automatically update as well - no more endless fiddling with presentations!
There are 6 different roadmap options located under the Reports section of your account. Each provides a different view into data within your account so you can always create the perfect visualization based on your needs and target audience.
The Reports > Starter roadmap is a great starting point in Aha! as it allows new users to quickly add data to their account and create their first roadmap. Users that have existing data can also utilize this roadmap to quickly place information on a timeline and create a visual to share with their team.
Adding new items or manipulating existing ones quickly brings your roadmap to life while the structured data is automatically updated behind the scenes for additional reporting or roadmapping needs.

The Reports > Portfolio roadmap is one of the most important roadmap visualizations in Aha! as it allows you to visualize your roadmap across your entire product portfolio. This roadmap provides a single place to view all of the releases across the products in your portfolio as well as their connection to your strategic initiatives.
You can also visualize how the product releases contribute towards your product line initiatives through the ability to roll up strategy. Your product releases will appear as dots at the product line level in initiative swim lanes based on the connection between your product and product line strategy.

The Reports > Strategy roadmap allows users to quickly create roadmaps of their product's strategic initiatives. You can add existing initiatives to the roadmap as well as create new initiatives and then drag and drop the bars to define the dates that your team plans to tackle these large strategic items. Through the View drop down you can optionally also display which goals are related to each initiative, giving a complete view of how your team plans to deliver against their goals. Cross-functional plans across the portfolio can be shown at this level by adding multiple products to the view.

The Reports > Releases roadmap allows the visualization of the release's project plan.
Release planning impacts the entire business. The design of the Releases roadmap is that it allows for teams to plan out the full cross functional effort required to successfully deliver a new customer experience to market. As such, this roadmap view is a gantt-like format and consists of customizable phases and milestones. Teams can optionally display the features within each release on this view as well as create visual dependencies within and across releases.

The Reports > Features roadmap is the perfect way to illustrate the value that each of your releases will provide to your customers, as it highlights which features will be delivered within each release on a timeline.
There are multiple customization options available, such as the ability to toggle to internal or external release dates depending on the stakeholder group, or the ability to visualize how the features are delivering against your strategic goals and initiatives. You can even click the check boxes to the right of your features to enable or disable their visibility in exported views of the roadmap. Each of these customization options provide a powerful way to create detailed roadmaps for one stakeholder group and higher level roadmaps for another.

The Reports > Custom roadmap is a powerful way to visualize dates in Aha! as it allows users to completely customize what is displayed on a roadmap timeline view. The Custom roadmap makes it simple to visualize data that has a date associated to it as well as other related information such as custom fields or related strategy.
The roadmap also has customization options located on the top right that allow custom colorization and layout configuration.
