Bring your whiteboard concepts to life quickly and easily with Aha! shapes. Aha! shapes are placeholders for records in your Aha! account. Use them for planning and brainstorming, then convert them to ideas when you are ready to move forward.

Add Aha! shapes
Click the Shapes menu and find the Aha! shapes section.
Click any Aha! shape to select it. Then click anywhere on your whiteboard to add it.
After you add an Aha shape, you can click into its Description field to edit it. If you convert the shape to an Aha! idea, this will become the record's Title.
Use the shape's toolbar to change its type, convert it to an idea record, view it as a sticky note or other shape, leave a comment, or lock it to your whiteboard.
Convert an Aha! shape to a record
When you are ready to set your plans into action, you can convert Aha! shapes on your whiteboard to real ideas in your account. If you are using Aha! Ideas as a standalone product, you can convert the idea Aha! shape type to an idea record in your account. You will need an Aha! Roadmaps subscription to convert Aha! shapes to other record types.
Select the Aha! idea shapes on your whiteboard that you want to convert to ideas. If you want to convert all of the Aha! idea shapes on your whiteboard, you do not need to select anything.
Open the Aha! shapes section of the right side panel.

Check the boxes next to Ideas. Then select a workspace where the new ideas will be added. You can add the records to any workspace that you have permission to configure.
You can convert Aha! shapes to features, requirements, epics, releases, initiatives, or goals with an Aha! Roadmaps subscription.
Select Convert to create the new records.
After converting, the Aha! shapes on your whiteboard will be replaced with new Aha! record cards. Edit them from your whiteboard or find them in the workspace or release you selected when converting them.
The actual Aha! records will be created in the destination you chose when converting your Aha! shapes.
Edit records from your whiteboard
Whiteboard users will be able to edit any record from your whiteboard that is located in a workspace where they have owner or contributor access. Click a record card on your whiteboard to open its drawer view. From here, you can edit all fields and all tabs on the record — enabling you to add all the necessary details you need to new records without leaving your whiteboard.
